Cerebral Palsy is a permanent neurologic condition that may be caused by medical negligence at or near the time of birth. Clues to the cause of a child’s Cerebral Palsy may be found in the neonatal examinations, labor and delivery records, and radiology studies and through the exclusion of other potential causes such as genetic factors.

Misdiagnosis

Timely diagnosis of disease is the cornerstone of modern medicine. Misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis postpone treatment and can cause suffering and death that would have been avoidable.

Surgical errors range from obvious mistakes such as cutting the wrong body part, to the subtle acts of negligence such as severing a nerve or blood vessel without taking steps to repair the harm. Not every bad outcome is due to negligence, but some certainly are.

Automobile, Car and Truck Accidents

Most employers are required to have worker’s compensation insurance to pay for work-related injuries. Workers' Compensation benefits may include the payment of medical expenses, and the purchase of medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, as well as the payment of a portion of your salary during periods when you cannot work. The duration of payments will depend on whether your work injury has caused a temporary or permanent disability.

Legal Malpractice

Matt has successfully recovered against other law firms that were negligent in their representation of their clients. He has been able recover damages from firms’ legal malpractice insurers to compensate for the clients’ losses.

Product Liability

If you were injured by a product, you want to know whether a product defect was the cause. The defect could be the way the product was designed, manufactured, or the lack adequate warnings that accompanied its sale. Matt’s cases involving products have ranged from the very large – construction equipment, airplanes and automobiles, to the very small – cleaning solution chemicals.

Product liability claims tend to be complex and require painstaking investigation. In one case, Matt hired over ten expert witnesses in various specialties from around the country.
